For several years, the leadership of Woodmont has been visioning and brainstorming for the future. This has involved multiple boards, visioning committees, and strategic planning initiatives. Our church has grown and continues to have significant energy and momentum. We believe that now is the time for us to step boldly into the next chapter with courage, faith, and excitement.
We have now kicked off a fall capital campaign called “Building for Our Future” that is grounded in our mission and core vision areas: Worship, Spiritual Formation, Mission, Families, and Healing. We are trusting God and working to raise the necessary funds to:
- Build additional children’s classrooms, entrance, and gathering area on the south end which will alleviate Sunday School overcrowding.
- Build a multi-use chapel for worship, smaller weddings, funerals, speakers, and special events. This will also make Drowota Hall avaliable for other activities.
- Renovations to South Hall to continue our existing outreach ministries with hopes to build a “missional cafe.”
We already have commitments from lead donors and long-time members. This packet contains detailed information, drawings, statistics, and frequently asked questions that we want to answer. There are going to be multiple small group opportunities for all members to find out more about what we are proposing. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with specific questions. I hope and pray that you will be a part of this important campaign as Woodmont looks to the future in faith, hope, and love.
With Gratitude and Excitement,Dr. Clay Stauffer
